As the title says, I finally broke down and got a big bore glock, a g36!!!
It feels very different in hand then my g19 and the recoil is much less then i anticipated. I am really happy it fits well in my g19 holsters. 120 rounds down, many more to go... :)

Excellent. Post a range report next time you go out. The G36 needs some love.

A big bore, but definitely not boring! :) You gotta love the 45ACP caliber Glock pistols.

It's especially good to read that the recoil of the G36 was much less than you anticipated. Hickok45 called it "jumpy" in his G36 video review ([plain]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYJgIFQIAy4[/plain]). That was unsettling considering he is 6'-8" and 230 lbs with hands the size of bear paws.

If you decide to use it for CCW, I suggest carrying a spare mag or two at all times. That's a good idea regardless of what model pistol you carry.

    Enjoy shooting your G36.

The Glock 36 is an often overlooked option. I do not remember seeing any in the gun stores either. My Glock 27 seems a bit thick for some of the clothes I wear.

There is just something about a 45 ... The G36 just makes it easier to have at hand.

    Out there in fly-over country...

I've had other Glock models over the last 15 years, but recently got a used G36 on impulse because the price was very attractive. After practicing with it at the range and carrying it a little I am very impressed with the gun. It is quite accurate and it conceals very easily. This could become my standard every day carry.
