Finally found and purchased the Glock I have always wanted!

    It is a first generation Glock 17 in excellent condition. Serial prefix BS, supposedly one of the first 4000 Glocks imported into the U.S.

    I love this thing. Fits my hand like a glove. I only wish they still made these things with this grip configuration.

    Sorry, but it's definitely not one of the first 4000, but it's still great and it's still an early Glock.

    Can you post the date code for me? It's the three small letters to the far right of the serial number on the barrel.

    Yeah, that is why I said supposedly, I am not that lucky. :supergrin: The guy I purchased it from said someone at Glock told him that. I figured it should have had an A prefix to have been. Nevertheless, like you said it is still great, and an early Glock, and precisely what I have been looking for. The date code you are looking for appears to be ITT. My eyes are not what they used to be. :supergrin:

    If you find out for sure, let me know. Based on the dating thread here on the site, it looks to be Sep or Oct 1988..
