I have a Gen 4 model 26 & 19 set up the same way... XS Big Dot nightsights, ext slide release, trigger bars & springs, KKM barrels, ect... I bought two 50 rd boxes of Federal HST 147 +P ammo to test and I was really impressed with the ammo BUT it will not shoot in the G26 KKM barrel. The empty brass is coming out of the chamber and the next round runs under it and jams it up every time. I put the stock barrel back in the G26 and it shoots fine. The G19 runs fine with the KKM barrel no problems. I was looking to carry the G26 with the KKM barrel loaded with the HST 147 +P but thats not going to happen. Anyone else running a G26/KKM barrel/HST 147 +P set up out there?

Why not carry the 26 with the factory barrel? Plenty accurate for carry use and reliability is paramount anyway

Good thing you tested the combo before you needed it.

Yeah, just use the factory barrel. I never tried the 147 +P HSTs, mine are the standard pressure HST2 version.

Congrats. You finally changed enough stuff to screw up your gun. Now sell the KKM barrel to someone who hasn’t.

Why did you feel the need for the KKM barrel with the HST loads?

Hmmm you took a reliable gun and threw money at it and now it is unreliable. Get a nice 1911 and turn it into a range princess. keep your EDC as close to stock as possible.

Have you tried another brand of ammo through the aftermarket barrel? Unless you are adamant about using a particular brand of ammo see what else will run through that barrel. Some aftermarket barrels do require some fitment and gunsmithing.

    Good luck and be safe.

That is the #1 cause of Glock malfunctions (changing out factory parts to after market)

For SD/HD, I leave my guns stock except for the sights. At most HD/SD ranges, I would guess 4" accuracy is usually sufficient if you are shooting at center or mass. For deer hunting, 8" is sufficient.

If left factory, if it doesn't run, it's the gun's problem and you can have the factory figure it out. If you modify it and use it, it is your attorney's problem. And, if you modify it and it doesn't work, it's your doctor's problem if you're lucky.

Good thing you tested it before bringing it into the rotation.

I’m sorry to hear about your problem with your KKM barrels. Mine have all shot great. If you contact KKM I bet they will take a look at it and see if it is out of spec or can be changed slightly to make it feed better.

What do I keep saying? Excessive testosterone poisoning hijacks the mind, and causes one to do all manner of things he would not normally do.

What you’re describing sounds similar to inertia feeding, as if the KKM barrel allows the slide to cycle faster.

Have you tried extra strength mag springs or a stronger RSA?

I was shooting lead reloads at one time and bought the KKM barrels and never had a problem with any load I shot until the HST 147gr ... The mags all have Wolff springs... But several of you pointed out the solution and that is to put the stock barrel back in it and leave it... if you get a chance to shoot some of the HST ammo go for it or check it out on youtube it is wicked...Thanks for all the input...

So just use the KKM if/when you shoot lead, if you don't want to shoot it with the OE barrel. But OE Glock barrels work fine.

Can you post some pictures of the jam,
    different angles?

Could be some of what Ww221 stated in
post 17, also could be an extractor letting
go too early, also maybe a chamber needs
    polished??????

Try both the OEM G19 barrel and the G19 KKM barrel in the G26 and see what happens.

What I have experienced with the lighter slide
guns, the slide can move too fast with the more powerful ammo and can cause problems.

The loads can be safe pressure but the recoil
is the problem, grip can be part of the problem
also, can change the slide speed.
