I'm in Minneapolis which is somewhat well known for its brewing culture. Currently my favorites are:

    Surly's Furious IPA
    Trollway Citrus IPA
    Moon Man New Glarus
    Bells Rotating

Boulevard (KC) makes many fine brews. If any of you folks can get any of their Smokestack Series, you will be happy.

Moonman is nice. Ever have Spotted Cow by the same brewery?

I've toured New Glarus brewery. Quite a place for being a "small" brewing operation.

I drink so many local and obscure brews that I have no idea what to list but my still-favorite is probably Fantasy Factory brewed by Karben4....

Gumball Head by 3 Floyds Brewing Company is up there too.

    "local" is relative.

When I am in my second home, Rothaus Maerzen (Export). Very good beer.

In CO, I tend to like Tommyknockers beer. The butt head bock is a pretty good American bock beer. I mimics german bock quite well.

Really really local. Is Oscar Blues. Just down the street.

Had a crew member that was from Shiner. Whenever he went home on leave, he came back with a truckload of Shiner and local - made sausages for the rest of the crew.

    Still good beer years later.

Don't see Boulevard around here often, but when I see their stout I snatch it up.
