I'm not able to post polls here but I did make one on Calguns. What do you guys think of the results? Do you think it's a fair representation of all the states?

Probably... the 19 is very popular. My favorite for carry is my 19, for regular shooting its my 34.

Seems like a surprising drop off for votes in all the subcompacts G26/G27/G30/G29. Respondents to the poll may reflect more of the market segment of duty and HD pistol owners rather than concealed handgun license holders.

I guess clarification of the poll might be good. Favorite to CARRY or favorite to SHOOT at range.

I would have thought that the 23 would be more popular than it shows there.

Where are the .357 models? Those are my favorites, especially the model 31 Gen 4.

I've never really understood the popularity of the mid-size "compact" models like the 19, 23, 32, etc. IMHO, they are neither significantly smaller nor significantly lighter than the full-size versions. If I need something below full-size, then I want a Glock sub-compact, not something that's neither fish nor fowl.

In that respect, the numbers reported above seem to grossly under estimate the popularity of the models 26 and 27...especially the 27.

There was an Eddie C. poll on this somewhere. A Sticky, I think.

I love my G26. In a pinch I can put in my pants pocket to conceal.

Being a California poll - where it is much more difficult to get a concealed carry permit - it makes sense that the subcompacts have low numbers.

Interesting replies. Thank guys. I should have been more clear about the name of the poll. I asked if you could only have one Glock which would it be?

Well, it was a poll on CALguns, after all.

Not so many concealed handgun license holders per capita in California.

Can I have extra pieces (like caliber conversion barrels)?

If I could have only one Glock, and no conversion parts, it would be a G29 for the versatility.

Yes, the poll results make more sense now. The reference to Calguns by the OP completely escaped me as a reference to respondents from the state of California (duh). I've never visited that forum. They should move away from socialist oppression, come to Texas and buy lots of Glock subcompact pistols for CCW. :)

Here are my replies in that thread:

There is always a trade off with control & concealment. Lucky for me, I have absolutely no problem concealing a G17 (or G20/21 for that matter), so that part doesn't really concern me.

If I could only have one Glock it would be the G26. If I could only have one handgun the G19 would be very high on the list.

My favorite is the G30! Its the most accurate Glock and having 11 rds of 45 to carry is a plus. Then add in the fact you can use G21 mags and its hard to beat! Then beinga ble to shoot other calibers in it is a Huge plus too.
Lately with the intro of the G30S one would think the G30 just hit the market, lol.
Ive had it since 2004 and not one hiccup! The +P ammo is a Blast to shoot!

    I would expect that G26,G27 & G30 models
would have higher numbers in a free zone.
