Looking at threads got me to wonder.

Feel in hand is key here.

    Full size:
To me the Gen 2 G31 feels best.

    Mid size:
    Gen 3 G32.

    Small size:
The first run of G33--no checkering between finger grooves.

    SO, no consistent Gen overall.

Wondered if others were split also, or if one Gen covered it all for them.

Add: not trying to bash any model here.
Yes, tried all the new frames.

I don't like finger grooves, and all my glocks wear bicycle inner tube on the grip so RTF is pointless to me.

    So I guess 2nd gen.

And the only gun I need to have an accessory rail on it is my G21, which is my nightstand gun and it has a light on it.

Second Gen on all frames. Don't really need either the finger grips or accessory rail.

First Gen is OK but not aggressive enough on the grip itself. And is only on a few models.

RTF-2 and the new 4th Gen seem a bit too aggressive for my tastes.

I can live with the 2.5 and 3rd gen's in the G19 and sub compacts but am not as much of a fan of the G17 size frames with the 3rd gen.

Overall I prefer the 2nd Gen Glocks. However 3rd Gen with the finger grooves removed suits me just fine.

I have only owned 3rd Gen but I would really like a 2nd Gen G19. 2nd Generation grip with rail would be even better.

I personally like the 3rd gen as I usually have a light on the rail.
Exception the G-19 which I like the 2nd gen as finger groove doesn't fit my hand.
I can live without finger grooves in all my Glocks but I like the accessory rail.

Gen 4. The SF type frame dimensions fit me by far the best.

    For MY hand...

    FULL: G21SF, 3rd Gen

    MID: G19/23, 3rd Gen

    MINI: G30SF, 3rd Gen

    DISCLAIMERS:

    1) I haven't tried the 4th Gen's yet. Nor have I ever tried the first gen.

    2) I know... a 30SF is not technically a mini... but it's not a mid either, at least not to me. And I don't like the baby Glocks (26, 27) in any gen.

    3) The 3rd Gen seem to have used a hand exactly my size when they molded them. Therefore, I like them. The 3rd gen G21 was a tad fat for my reach, but the 21SF has resolved that.

    4) YMMV.

I like the Gen 3s, but the Gen 2s look 'old school cool' to me

Love the 3rd generation, but wouldn't pass up a pristine 2nd Gen...or a 1st Gen in great shape would be really nice!!
