Well, had to reformat, saved my whole outlook express file folder and, fidely dee, lost about 12 years of emails -- the most recent ones being the most important. Reciepts, passwords, accounts. Gone.

    SOOO...

What's your favorite email client? I'm in the market for a change.

    Appreciate any recommendations.

With Outlook getting so many dings for security issues I too went to Thunderbird. Nice and simple with filters and all the basics needed for mail.

No calendar but that was only fluff for me. ;)

There is a Calendar add-on, but it is not that great. To me a good calendar is critical, so I use Outlook as a primary business email client, with elm on a UNIX host and Yahoo mail as two personal email clients (they're synchronized, so reply to one hits another as well).

My Outlook calendar is also synchronized with my Yahoo Calendar through Intellisync. Works like a charm.
