I walked by and saw what my nephew had on TV , I don't think today's cartoons pass muster compared to what we had.

What were your favorite kids cartoons and why?

I liked the roadrunner coyote series and Tom and Jerry .

Mainly for the creativity in wile E,s Rube Goldberg machines

Old-school Donald Duck, Tom & Jerry and Bugs Bunny cartoons- the ones from the '40's that had WWII themes to them, and had Bugs exhorting us to buy Victory bonds and such.

The animators-especially on the Disney side- back then were incredible. I'd put them up against the best animators these days, but everything is CGI now, so it's almost a moot point.

I was an 80s kid so my favorite contemporary cartoon (at the time) was by far Ghostbusters. My favorite "classic" cartoon ha salways been Wylie Coyote and the Roadrunner.
