Just out of curiosity, what is your favorite and least favorite breed of dog and why?

My favorites are Boxers for intelligence and loyalty
and least favorite are Cockers, I think they are kinda dim.

Yeah, Shepherds are grand dogs. Unfortunately, the rate of hip dyplasia is so high, many good dogs are lost because of it. We had a wonderful GSD that we lost to hip dyplasia. I've learned that police depts etc are giving up on GSD's because of it. What a shame.

The Doberman Pinscher. If you know dogs, there's no need to explain why.

I generally love all animals that aren't causing me heartache. My experiences with pitbulls tend to place them on my least favorite list, however. They just seem to become excessively aggressive if not raised/bred/trained JUST right.

Definately the Dobe. The greatest k9 breed God created. A heart as big as the world. A disposition that says make me what you want me to be. A friend for life who will give his life for you. I guess you could say I kindof like the dobes. I have had 3 and all were intelligent, playfull, and protective. Great around kids and the family, ready to work when I was.

Now for the least favorite. It has to be that overrated, rat on acid Jack Russell. I have been around several of them and one was a really good natured little dog, if a bit hyper whoever. The others either bit me or attempted to. They are not like Eddy the tv version at all.

I love all dogs! but I'm afraid of german shepards!! A friend of mine had one as a child and unfortunately the dog was mistreated by her father and the dog turned very mean. I know it's not the dogs fault but it's a phobia I have.

I am a huge fan of the siberian huskies. Beautiful dogs, intelligent, just a little stubborn;g . I love mine though, want another one to keep her company.

I am with most of you in that I really don't like small ankle biting dogs. But to each there own!

I'm the Will Rogers of canines: I've never met a dog I didn't like.

That said, my favorite breed by far are Chow Chows and my least favorite would have to be a tie bewteen Cocker Spaniels, English Bulldogs and Sharpeis.

You really ought to edit a warning into that post about the video. It's appalling and terrible (I couldn't watch the whole thing.). I've recently gotten to appreciate the pit bull more than I used to. One followed my brother home from school one day, and she was the sweetest dog from every thing my brother and I saw. The only mauling she did to us was for us to play with her and rub her belly. The tragic thing about this poor girl is she was 6 months at the OLDEST, and someone had already been starving her and fighting her. But I assume she was lucky enough to be a winner, because her scars that I saw were all only from small scratches and bites. She was so skinny (Dad told us not to feed her, but somebody had to.). We tried to keep her in the back yard, but due to her being starved, she was skinny enough to slip between the gate post and the house. So she got out and wandered off. I hope she found a good home.
