:( One more gone. Time did what the Germans could not. Almost finished reading Dick Winters book now, reading about Guarnere last night. Nothing but praise from his fellow paratroopers, that says more than anything to me about the man. Very sad.

Yep. That's the best commendation a man can have. His comrades speaking well of him.

    RIP Bill. :crying:

I live 5 minutes from him in South Philly. He was good friends with Babe Heffron who passed away last year and served with him in WW2:patriot:

Good stuff. Leaving body parts in Europe in defense of you buddies buys you a special place in the clouds I hope.

Sad to see how many folks have viewed this thread and failed to even offer a RIP. Lack of understanding of what this man represented I guess :dunno:

Rather than mourn the death of this man, we should rejoice that such a man lived.

From a math standpoint, the last WWII Vet wont pass for at least another 25 years.

That does not change the truth we will have very few left within the next few years.

Some people have things going happening on weekends. Three hours after this thread was started, you post this distasteful garbage. Post your Pamprin comments elsewhere. have respect for a fallen hero.
