The Far Side comic by Gary Larson (not of the MN Purple People Eaters) was the only one I could ever relate to. Anyone else miss this? I thought it was brilliant!

Definitely a great one. I'm a fan of pooch cafe these days (poochcafe.com)

I do. I loved Larson! Don't miss out on Red Meat either! Max Cannon is great! A bit different but just as insane as Larson.

The only comic worth reading, then and now. I honestly don't know how all the "other" comics stay relevant, let alone stay in the newspapers. The only one that's sorta funny these days is Dilbert.

I have the complete collection. It's really fantastic. I can't open it up and not enjoy myself.

Far Side was Awesome! I grew up on that and absolutely loved it! I loved his knowledge of science and how he would make jokes about that and other things.

Far Side was great. I liked the original Bloom County a lot, too. Shoe is a classic. Most times that I go through the "express" checkout lanes (limited # of items), I recall one where one of the birds was told by the express-line register clerk that he had too many items for the express lane, because he counted the 6-pack individually - so the bird drank one of the brews and continued through the line. I must have been in middle school or earlier, but I retain that particular strip.

Love Calvin & Hobbes and Dilbert (usually), but my favorite of all is Cyanide & Happiness.

Once, on my birthday, during a week when everything I touched had turned to crap, I was given a Larson card...

It depicted two astronauts on the Moon, with the Earth rising in the background... On the lunar surface was a giant switchplate, with the switch currently in the "On" position. The caption read: "Maybe we should just leave it alone..."

From that point, I was forever hooked!
