Fake Gun Stores online

I've seen a couple online gun stores over the last year or two that are clearly setup to rip people's money off. I didn't see any other threads about this so this may be a good place to list any of them you may have found. I've got some background in vetting these type of fake websites. Please be sure if you list one here that it is truly a scam website.

This started today as an investigation after getting email from glocktalk.com about the message thread that involved
kentuckyglockstore.com and a user here who had apparently been scammed by this website. But when I came here to see the message thread it was gone. I found the user kentuckyglockstore.com on glocktalk has been banned and then found some interesting things when I went to that website. One was an address that does not seem to exist. If you click on 'Contact Us' at the top of the website it lists:
Honor Gun Company
4798 Thunder road
95134 United States

That Zip code is in San Jose, California. That actual street does NOT exist there. It also does not exist in Kentucky. In another area of the website this address is listed :
"15 Outer Loop, Louisville,ky, 40219 United States " which also does not seem to exist according to Google maps.

Then it gets more fun when you click on their Glock 19 Gen 5 review: Unboxing the Glock 19 Gen 5 - KENTUCKY GLOCK STORE. They show a picture which is definitely not a Glock - I think it is a Beretta. And this is a review below the picture which was in Latin. I converted it to English:

"The earth is the banana bananas bed, the consequences from the diesel problems, there was no eu as well. Each time, therefore, for the free bears of tomorrow's time, now a lot to start Some invest, but even hang up the street, a lot of hate. He needs to hate me for the sauce he was Performance, in nam sit soft labor soft. And so in the afternoon, this propaganda The cushion of the bears is an incredibly vital element, until some mass, until the lion, to decorate the class, is the author of the bears or of the disease. You can create a lot of flattering warmth, the sadness of the weekend, and not even now. Nice place to start before him.
Until the average person needs freedom. Check out the makeup of the kids. Earth nonummy quiver Who is now a warm man for the members, the average person present, the earth must be cured, now or the bow and the car eu bed Adipiscing vitae, fusce facilisis odio, mattis mattis, tincidunt eget aliquet nunc sit nec convallis. Fear drink until sad for the backyard. Life is unconventional for the silent life of the average person's penats, until the whole team wants it. Anyone who's a lion, or a beginner who needs to be successful. The earth and the companions, the author now needs, the lake of some kind. Now there was one deck for kids, a nice lion.

Laoreet bows from the vehicles than the free compensation, at least in the case, the consumer wants us sometimes not to have a whole throat, no pain in the movie, we have the pain of the throat of the kids who's responsible for the whole thing. Or the real estate and the compensation of some, not acquainted with the disgraceful and the bills. Aliquet compensation for some of the present, just to dwell alive, we must live, leaven the foot, and at times put down the disease Sem id in nulla et enim semper, curabitur ac, dictumst amet arcu at erat till id, vitae nec ullamcorper, amet mi eu nulla dignissim. In front of the fellows there is no time, just the teenagers need, the drugs eu."

:ROFLMAO:

So what do you think - is this a fake website or not? Anyone in that area who can check it out the physical address?
At least for now avoid sending any money to that place. More info on the way and if you know of other scam gun websites please list them here.

Here is a few more I found when visiting the real and valid Canikusa.com web site which is warning about these fake sites using the Canik or Century Arms names. I checked out one of them which takes only cryptocurrency or Zello - a big RED flag and appears to ship guns directly to sellers which of course is illegal and another major RED flag. I reported the domain to the site registrar by using ICANN Lookup which shows the registrar of any website and a way to contact abuse at the registrar.

If I'm gun shopping on line I pick a company that I have dealt with before and ordered ammunition, holsters, or anything else and been happy with the purchase. It's just not worth saving a few bucks to me on a "Chance."

Check the payment methods; if it's Zelle, Paypal F&F and bitcoin, it's a scam-no legitimate store would not accept mainstream credit cards.

I searched for a gun part the other day and the first 5 out of 6 Google results were scam sites; it's crazy.

A little bit ago, I received a complaint about a fraudulent webpage using the stolen identity of a local FFL.

Webpage was good. xxxxfirearms.net vs xxxxfirearms.com.

Stolen identity information was correct except the telephone number. That was a Google Voice number.

So I called. "Pay with Bitcoin. Guns are untraceable!" :ROFLMAO:

Anyway....quick "Whois Domain lookup" found the xxxxfirearms.net had been registered recently vs the .com which had been around for years.

From there it was a quick email to either the Domain hosting or the Domain registrar. Either will work.

Let them know. Once they review they will zap the domain and they are out of business.

The Bad Guys tried again a few months later. Another website...some FFL information. From that webpage, it was clear, because they hadn't updated it, that they had tried a similar scam with another gun store out west. (On thier current scam webpage pretending to be xyz_firearms.com, the webpage said they were abc_firearms.com)

I got into a text and email exchange with them...

They removed all the FFL info and were begging for me not to kill the domain. (It had cost them some money to get it up and running.)

Cost of doing business. Stop messing around in my State.

(Haven't heard any complaints since that one. They likely moved on to the fake puppy scams. Or your Grandma's new online boyfriend)

Good job. That's too funny what they were begging for. It's like a robber saying please don't call the police on me since this gun I'm robbing people with cost me a lot. Head shaker...

I don't really think many people would fall for the fraud sites I listed in the post above but the people making these fraud gun sites just might be anti-gun hackers that are trying to give the gun industry a bad reputation so I wouldn't want to let these frauds get any money from the less informed / newbie buyers.

Well here is another fake one: Shop - Georgia Gun Shop
No phone number, reference to Taurus web page for contact but page does not exist and they only accept Bitcoin, credit card or PayPal (PayPal does not allow purchase of guns) and NO request for an FFL to ship. They appear to have over 240 pages of guns and from the one I was searching it was about $75 less than anywhere else. FAKE!

Per your advice in post 1, reported them to their domain registrar.
