I feel stupid asking BUT, I put a 5.09 long ported 9mm barrel by Stormlake in my G-17 and the gun fires great but will not eject. I`m shooting all bullet weights but mostly 147gr. with semi stout loadings. The brass extracts from the chamber but gets caught by the slide in the port. I feel a new recoil spring is in order but which weight do I need? I know you folks are the experts so here I am. I would appreciate any help.

I'd send that barrel back and get a KKM (or Glock) barrel rather than swapping parts trying to get a wonky barrel to work.

DirectDrive; thanks for the opinion but it sure doesn`t help with the recoil spring question. I see your my neighbor across the river.

You probably need a weaker spring or hotter loads. The ports are impeding barrel tilt during cycling and thus slowing things down enough to hinder full ejection.
Storm lake makes quality barrels so I'm not sure why Direct Drive would say to swap it.

You put an aftermarket barrel for an FN 509 in a G17 and you're wondering why you're having extraction issues?

    Good grief.

The common choice for a lighter than stock RSA is 15lb. Should work with 124gr rounds. If not, then try 13.

You can get a kit that has a 15lb and 13lb spring with one guide rod. Look on eBay.

Going down to 11 should not be necessary.
