The beauty of the G26/19/17 series is mag compatibility; the 19 can sport a 15/17/33 round mag and has a rail. The 26 can run 10/12/15/17/33rd stock mags (but has no rail).

The 43x/48 can sport whatever Glock and hopefully some aftermarket manufacturers give you. If glock’s abysmal track record of extended mags for the 43 holds strong, you won’t see much in reliable increased capacity for the 43x/48.

You can't get here from there!
6 months to a year and SIG will introduce a 365 XL with a thumb safety.

    Regards,

Magazine compatibility is an outstanding and important feature. The 48 would offer me as a standard 43 owner the ability to make my own hybrid 43X. That's kinda cool. While I would certainly accept a factory +1 for the 43, the 48's capacity seems sufficient for MY use. I'd leave that aftermarket mag to everyone else. ;)

I don't blame anyone for wanting more ammo. I may truly be in the minority when I say that I'm a fan of Glock's "conservative" approach to their mags. Several decades of use has proven them to be tough and reliable. Having a couple less in capacity than the latest and greatest is way down on my list of concerns. I can carry more than one.

I don't have a 48 yet. I'm glad I waited for the black, but I'm still on the fence. If I can ever make myself bring the 365 to the range again, it'll be side by side with my 43. If the SIG gets vetted for carry, I may not get a 48. If I don't like it? I'll probably sell it and get a 48. Right now it's the 43 or LCP. A 19.4 at the house.

I think that applies to HK and Walther to an extent, but I think Glock magazine capacities hit industry standards in most models. Even the 6+1 43 isn’t too far outside industry standard.

Sig just released a P365 with the silver slide. Saw it at bass pro.
Legion`s are only hammer fired guns. Likely wont see it in a P365.

My local gun shop just got the black slide 48 and a buddy of mine immediately bought it. We both taked about how we liked the black slide better. I thought about buying the silver one and getting it ceracoated sniper grey.

Nice! I hadn`t seen that one yet, but i dont follow sig that often. Must be SIG changed their minds about Legion`s only being available in hammer fired guns. Good reviews on the X series.

I`m not a huge fan of sig`s either, BUT, my P365 is alot more accurate than my G43X. My only complaint with the P365, i can`t get a good draw purchase as good with it as i can with the G43X.

I assume you meant to say your P365 is a lot more accurate in your hands.

If not, we both know that's BS.

I cant shoot for other people, or make them shoot THEIR gun better.

Yes, the P365 is extremely accurate in "my hands", no BS about it.

No two people shoot the same. What works for you, might not work for me.

    Exactly.

That's why any talk of accuracy is silly unless both pistols are being shot from a Ransom Rest.

I DO have a ransom rest, and HAVE fired both thru it many times. My own personal P365 edge`s my own personal 43x out, but not by a huge margin. But YMMV. And i dont think its a concern at this point because in a self defense situation, BOTH guns, will EFFECTIVELY hit their intended target, and with authority & accuracy. In all sense of it all, between the two guns, we`re just splitting hairs here. BOTH are great guns. Try not to over think what i said in my earlier post.

I saw these for sale on a few gunshots this past weekend... The LGS I most oft frequent said they couldn’t sell until Monday. They had several in the back ready though....

I have the same issue. I find the P365 difficult to draw and my support hand thumb seems to want to ride the slide, not rest on the frame. I’m just not convinced a 43X/48 Would be as concealable. I really like my 19, 26, and 42. P365 fills a niche I’m not sure a 43X will.
