Next will be the G48 MOS for the Shield sights!
Put some R&D into stuffing the mag with 12 and I am in on the 48 train.
I want it in black!
Black only!. That way all
Glocks look alike to my wife!
Black slide G43X and G48 look pretty good. I may buy a black G48.
Wow, i sometimes forget how good i have it with my wife. (we`ve been 45+ yrs together now) If i want to buy a gun, i dont have to get her permission, nore do i even have to ask her, or tell her i`m buying one. When i do buy a gun though, she always wants one too. She surprises me often with toys. She bought me a Shield 45 a few weeks ago when the new Shield45 PC came out in a 4 inch barrel. Two years ago, she had a big garage built for all my harley`s and my tractors because i ran out of room. I do feel bad for some of you guys, you`re not near as lucky as i am, to have such a wonderful wife. And yes, she has ALOT of guns too. She loves to shoot. She`s 5ft tall, 100lbs soakin wet with 4 rolls of quarters in each pocket, and handles a 44mag with full house loads better than most men. Life is good!
Since i posted earlier, wife an i both decided to buy G43X`s in black when they come in. We both already have a G43`s & G43X`s. But we need more toys to play with.
Here you go!
G48 with a black slide = M&P Shield killer
Different frames, slides, and barrels for sure.
No, he is correct. 43s use a larger frame, longer slide, and barrel to handle the different length and pressure of the 9mm over the 42s .380.
MEH... typical Glock... cashing in Twice LOL... already have a 43X... no need for this
I do agree with you on that.
My point was that Glock released the 42 because they new everybody would clamor to get it instead of just waiting for the 43. Once they were satisfied with the sales of the 42, they released the 43. The people that bought the 42 ran out and bought the 43 because it's what they wanted in the first place.
Why didn't Glock release them simultaneously? Because Glock is brilliant at this game.
The people that bought a G42 did so because it’s arguably the finest .380 EDC pistol ever made.
And while very nice, the G43 is just another [smallish] 9mm. For many folks, it’s simply too large for the pocket and too small if you are holstering on the belt.
The G43 has found its niche as a nice compromise [if that’s what you are after].
But the G42 is a superior pocket pistol and the G19 [for example] is a superior belt carry option.
The G42 is in a class of its own. The G43 is in a class of many.
People have wanted a small single stack 9mm from Glock for years and that's a fact. Nobody was asking for a small .380. If Glock had released both at the same time, they wouldn't have sold nearly as many 42's initially. That's not to say that it wouldn't still be successful, but there's a reason Glock does what it does. For example, why not release the 19X and 45 simultaneously? Why not release the 19 Gen 5 and 19 Gen 5 MOS simultaneously?
I wonder if Glock will continue to offer the silver slides?
