FA Ownership in NORWAY

    I am new in Norway and have this question to ask. If you are active IPSC shooter, are you allowed to own 1911's, Hi-Capacity handguns and semi-auto ARs or M1A's in any barrel length?

    Norwegians, please chime in. :dunno:

    There are a few Norwegians on the board here and there but not many come into GNG.

    As for Norwegians gun laws, I did a search and the most helpful links didn't work. Hopefully these should help:

    I stayed in Norway for a couple of months in 2002 and I remember some Norwegian soldiers talking about their gun laws. From the sound of it, the seemed very lax but it looks like it has changed. Remember this is the internet so take it with a grain of salt. You're best off checking with a governmental agency in Norway.
