I have a gen. 2 G19. I ordered a new extractor. The new one will not work. The best way to describe it. The part i got new is thinner where the firing pin safety touches it. Or other way is the new one is receased on both sides. The original one is the same thickness on both sides. Sorry about no pictures. But i could not get them to show this detail.

Make sure you got the proper extractor. check whether you need the 15 degree or 90 degree one.

I ordered the 90 deg. Its a gen. 2 gun. Looking at my G30 i can see that its a 15 degree. So i can tell the difference. Thanks for chiming in.
Your question is?

Did they send the right part though is more of what I was getting at. People do make mistakes sometimes. There's no reason for it not to fit right if you got the right part.

I have went back to the web site i ordered the part from. There are no other 90 degree extractors to choose from. Is the one i need obsolete. I have looked at other web sites as well. And there pictures all show the same part i got that will not work.

The Glock part number for your extractor with the 90 degree cut is: SP 00098

This is a non LCI extractor.

It still shows in the armorers catalog as being produced.

Glockmeister sent part number 98.5509. This is probably there part number. So not much help.

All I can say is call them tomorrow and ask what the corresponding Glock part number is. Sorry if it's not much help but that's as much as I can help without seeing pictures or seeing your firearm and the extractor.

A simple thanks would have sufficed. :wavey:

Me saying not much help was not meant for you. I was trying to say my part number and yours for comparison was not much help. But i do thank you for trying to help. I would never snap back at someone trying to help me.
Why are you replacing the old one ? They still list the 90* extractor on their site...

Extractor 90 degree/0. Fits some pistols in the following models: G-17, 17l, 19, 20, 25, 29.

Mine has a burr were the firing pin safety touches it. The picture you have is the same one as my new one. The one that came out of my gun has the semi circle area for the safety. But the larger area that steps down one the new one is the difference. My old one is the same thickness from front to rear.
