I have a number of extension cords and I need something to tie each one up so they don't keep unravelling. I swear I've seen things that stay attached to the cord and then you just wrap it around and it holds it. I've been to both HomeDepot and Lowes and couldn't find anything. When I asked, they showed me some clamp type thing for $3 or $4 each and that isn't what I wanted either. Just something that works and that's cheap. I thought about plastic ties, but thay aren't reusable.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    p

Laptop power supply ties. Most of the ones I see, you can wrap the cords around the power brick and there's a silicone or rubber strap specifically designed to wrap up cords. Harvest as needed and zip tie to your cord.

    ETA: Small bungees work semi-ok.

Get a roll of double-sided velcro and cut the lengths that work. Home Depot has them.

Home Depot sells them in rolls of 25.

Have them on anything that has a wire.

Work great on extension cords that I have about 20 of.

are you talking about the little indoor extension cords, or the big outdoor type?

all my outdoor cords are "daisychained" so they don't tangle, then to store them i just double or triple loop them and wrap a small bungee cord and hang em up.
