A was given a couple of ban era G17 magazines couple with an aluminum extended capacity baseplate installed. Whose baseplate are they and how are they removed? It would appear a side slides off but what is the trick? Is the small hole part of the puzzle?

I solved the disassembly. I am still interested in who made these aluminum bases.

They are Dawson's. Been around for a couple of decades. Lot's of other choices today though, TTI, Arrendondo's. I use the oldest extension ever made, original Taylor Freelances.

I tried several Google searches unsuccessfully. Thank you both for your replies.
