That's the first thing I'd have done. Maybe change out the complete FCG.
I ordered one from Midway.
Just don't have any faith in a (mostly) polymer hammer now!
from what I’ve read elsewhere, it’s best to stick to mil-spec parts if you swap.
Looks like it's going to be a bit longer till I get mine.
The status of your package has changed.
Exception Reason: Severe weather conditions have delayed delivery.
No worries. Too much stuff going on right now anyway. Still trying to get things cleaned up and I have insurance people coming to look at my roof and car this week. Apparently my town has been declared an official "catastrophe area". I predict fewer sweet corn stands this year.
Sorry to hear of your unfortunate experience with the weather. Hope everyone is o.k.. Lots of luck with getting everything back in place.
Thank you sir. It sounds worse than it is really. I'm not one of the unfortunate ones with their living space under water. We had a couple nice days in a row. Still can't mow ditches but got most of the property cleaned up. Insurance guy said the roof and gutters need to be replaced. 1K deductible but it will all be new so I won't have to worry about it for a while. I picked up a utility pump that will pump down to 1/16" and put it on a heavy duty appliance timer. That is keeping the majority of the basement water in check.
Looks like I'll be able to pick up the EP9 this evening...
I love mine so far no issues.
Picked mine up and played around a bit. I decided on the setup shown. The provided pistol grip is quite serviceable once the sharp flashing is knocked back. It's a bit large in diameter for my taste though, plus I would like to keep a spare battery and mini driver in there, so I ordered a Magpul k2. I have them on my AR pistols and like them. Nobody will mistake this for a $1500 gun but it doesn't feel "airsoft cheap" either. So far so good. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to the range this weekend and get it sighted in. Speaking of which... What are you guys zeroing these at? I'm thinking I'll try 20 yards first.
Bad cellphone pic:
I sighted mine at 25. Just benched it
Me too with irons.
Got a red dot now and will sight in also at 25.
Mine now with irons, Bushnell red dot, angled for grip, compensator (found on ebay-thought it was cool...), extra rail, a STEEL hammer, Magpul 27 rd mags (work perfectly). Only need to add a WML.
My new night stand "pistol"....behind the nightstand.
I just got my angled for-grip it looks just like yours. I really just needed a hand stop.
I originally installed mine with the barricade stop face flush to the front of the rail. I found my grip to be much more positive with the stop portion between my index and ring fingers though so I moved it back a bit. IMO it makes it more usable as a barricade stop as well. I have similarly placed finger stops on my ARs.
I sighted mine with a red dot at 20 yds. I wonder how far it will be accurate?
I finally got to mess around with mine this weekend. What a fun gun! I'd guess it got around 400-500 rounds through it. I'm not sure of the exact count as it was getting passed around like a $2... erm, lots of people shot it.
Wasn't all perfect though. I had two stovepipes (case mouth in both times) and one light strike but man did I giggle the whole time. Very happy so far...
It is a crowd pleaser . People can't wait to try it out. Same with my ruger 9mm carbine
All of my pistols are zeroed in at 50 yds. Good from 25 - 100 yds.
Is steel case ammo good in the Exstar?
You should definitely get one.
