    Well, kinda, sorta

Gerard Butler is in town filming for the new movie Olympus Has Fallen.

Production crews built a replica of the White House facade less than a half mile from my back door. Over the past several weeks they have been filming a terrorist attack on the White House. Explosions and automatic weapons fire can be heard most every day along with billows of smoke seen around the film site. I think it's cool, but my dog doesn't.

Expected release date is sometime on 2014.

If it wasn't for the 8-foot privacy fence along my back property line, I'd have a pretty good seat to watch the filming.

You should wait for a lull and shoot off something really loud, see if it makes it in the movie!

a 8' fence is stopping you? (and its YOUR fence?) Lets see any upstairs windows? Pickup truck? Put 2" lumber across and make "floor" and set chair on it. Your "floor" would be @5' so your seat only needs to be 3'.

If you were to fire up the lawnmower you might be surprised to find someone willing to pay you to turn it off.:wavey:

They use to film a lot of movies in the Philadelphia area until the unions chased them out. We were real close to getting World War Z , but they found it easier to film the New York City zombie scenes in the UK then it was in Philly or NYC

Its funny that they are filming an attack on the White House in Louisiana.

It is now referred to as "Hollywood South". LOTS of movie production being done here due to tax incentives.

For the last several years I've bought movie tax credits.

The toast of Cannes was filmed down on the bayou

We even have some production companies that have sprung up, providing liquidity during the 2008 crash.

When they filmed the Avengers movie here in Cleveland, nobody noticed the little additional gunfire and explosions. :)
