Been looking to suppress a 357 lever gun for years now and it looks like Marlin was just listening to me. All the info I have and I hope it's all I been dreaming of!

Sorry for crappy pics all I could get and have one on pre-order.
Congrates on a good find. My son has a .450 Marlin that is almost always with him. He has taken many deer with it.

Not into suppressors but I like it!,, should make a fun and handy rifle. I've got a few Marlins and they're great guns!! A .357, .44, .375 Win and a .450 Marlin.

Morgo, you're right, a takedown would be pretty darn cool, especially that .357. A buddy has a takedown .45-70 from Wild West but they're a bit rich for my blood.

I can't find any info on them like they aren't even real. I'm a little worried about forking over $900 for a rifle I can't see and feel though. Anyone use 357mag for deer or coyote hunting? I've loaded up some 180 grain coated lead right at 1050fps out of my 10" T/C not sure how they'll do out of 16.5". My nephew is hitting a huge dealer show next weekend and I hope to get a report.

I haven't had any luck finding a silencer that's magnum rated... granted i havent looked super hard.

Any 9mm can should work with 38s, but not the 357. At least from what I've read.

I'd love a quieter magnum thumper for coyotes

Very nice, congrats. I have a Winchester carbine in 44 Magnum that has bagged a few hogs. Lever actions are addictive, just like Glocks.
I agree. I tend to stay with 44's though. I have a LSI 1892 clone, an 1894 Marlin, and a 1892 Winchester (new production). Sometimes things old become new again.

You may have to get one for a rifle caliber.

Back when I was first interested in lever guns (70's), I thought the .44 MAG was good for a medium-power brush carbine (but I was more fond of the early production Ruger .44 carbine I owned); my .444 Marlin was good for a decently powerful brush carbine ... and the .357 MAG lever guns were handy for cute, medium-bore close range brush guns. (Better than a M1 Carbine. ;) )

Nowadays the only lever guns I own are a couple of .30-30's. I miss that older Ruger .44 carbine and the .444 Marlin, though, both of which I foolishly let slip through my hands.

The short stainless lever gun the OP linked would probably make for a handy little medium-bore, close range brush carbine, though.

If I were younger and were going start over with lever guns, I've often thought I'd still own a couple of different length .30-30's, as well as a .45-70, and probably a short carbine in a light caliber, like the .357 MAG. A nice rounded collection, so to speak.

Buffalo Bore and Underwood ballistics show 125 gr hp actually has more ME out to (IIRC) 100(?) than a 30.30 due to bigger diameter bullet. I once had a Rossi 16 inch barrel that I let go and probably regret more than any other one I have ever sold. Really nice soft recoil shooter with some oomph from the business end.

Liberty Mystic X. It's a 9mm can rated for magnums. Including 300 Winchester Magnum.
That's what I'm using!

Yes the Liberty Mystic X is rated way over MAG and that's what I'm using. Here it is on my T/C 357MAX, now if they would camber the Marlin in MAX that would be awesome!

They must not sell many guns with threaded barrels. Including the thread size and pitch in the specifications is a wee bit important.

Tony
Thought the same thing. I have FBA in 5/8x24 and 1/2x28 but was thinking going 3 lug. Other thoughts was get a Henry all weather and have it cut and threaded. Just no side gate loading and with gunsmithing I'll be up to $900 quick.

I wouldn't do the Henry purely because you'd have to remove the silencer every time you went to load.
