ever need to replace follower?

    anyone ever need to replace follower or spring in 17 round mag? sometimes slide dosent lock after last round.only happens on one particular mag,cleaned it but still happens.its a second gen 17.

    I'd look to the spring first, unless there is visible wear on the follower.

    cant really tell so i just ordered both + a new mag for the heck of it. thanks for the reply.

    i have the same thing going on with G23 mag. there is a nib on the front left corner of the follower that pushes up the slide lock when the magazine is empty and locks the slide open. spring pressure may be a factor, but i have two different looking of nibs on each of my mags, and one simply will not lift the slide lock.

    still, it's a good idea to replace both.
