Will a Glock 35 with an extended tunsten rod, reduced recoil spring and stricker spring, and a Seattle slug qualify in ESP? Will it qualify in any division? squadman

The tungsten guide rod is not legal for any IDPA class. Go to the IDPA site to get your questions answered.

    As answered no.

No div allows tungsten guide rods.

Looks like a brass slug and as long as the pistol does not go over 43 oz and fits the box you should be ok. AFA the other parts they should be fine.

Gee I love to cut and paste ;-)

    From the LGB, page 10

"Pistol including empty magazine must fit in a box measuring 8 3/4" x 6" x 1 5/8" and have a maximum unloaded weight of 43 oz."

    later,

For SSP would the pulg be considered a external modification?

    NON-INCLUSIVE list of EXCLUDED modifications:

Externally visible modifications other than grips or sights

I've heard conflicting accounts on whether it is permitted or not.

The attachment shows a SEATTLE SLUG installed in a G35.

I've got an E-mail from IDPA HQ that says a Glock butt plug is ok for SSP. Now whether the local club or State Match would honor the e-mail is the question.

the 'other than factory material' guide rod would put you into ESP. a plug falls under externally visible mods, probably wouldn't be noticed. At the local level, nobody cares, nodoby checks, and it doesn't make any sense to break into ESP against short reset trigger weapons. At a state, regional or national, an equipment check may be performed. Just remove the mods and put the stock parts back..

emails for HQ don't supercede the match directors requirement to ' go by the book' the published book, not the email of the month

I agree and have stopped e-mailing HQ for clarification.
