What is the purpose of the emoty shell casing? Are they just showing that the gun was test fired? .....Why?
Some of our more *ahem* socialist Nazi states such as New Jersey require a spent round casing from a new gun to be sent to the state police or something. Its for the state's useless and expensive "Ballistics Fingerprinting" database. Gun makers now just supply a spent shell with every gun, so they don't have to come up with some wacky shipping process for each state. Welcome to America. ;g
