I was killing time so I stopped by my LGS. They have a 9mm EMP in stock. Seems like a nice little gun. My question is do all of them have extractors that sit WAY proud of the slide? Would Springfield fit it under warranty, or would they say it is normal ?
On a side note , they also had a STI Guadiana in stock that was pretty sweet !

Not sure if they will warranty it or not, but dont let that deter you from buying the pistol. Once the gun and mag springs are broken in that thing is AWESOME.

I agree, EMP's are great firearms. If you are interested in it, I would get it!

I won't be buying anything anytime soon. I was just curious about the extractor.

Springfield isn't going to flush fit it under warranty. The gun should run fine the wait it is though.

    Step 1, Buy EMP.

Step 2, buy Horned Lizard Grips by Davidson. (believe that their site is being re-vamped_ http://davidsonknives.com/

Step 3. Send magazines to LogMan for the "flush baseplate" mod

Both of mine protrude out a bit, never really cared because they work.

I actually like the way the factory mags are with the slight finger extension, it gives me a full grip whereas my Kimber Compact with a flush mag does not.

To the OP, yes, the proud extractor is SA standard.

It's only cosmetic and does not affect anything.
