    hi folks,
is there anyone using electronic earplugs? What I want: hearing deer while stalking yet being not afraid of having my buddys muzzle break next to my ear, or my Encore pisol 30-06 that sounds like a stick of dynamite.I want to find a fine set of earprotection but can't judge the markets products so far. I appreciate any recommendation and experience.

Peltor electronic muffs are among the best. I've tried a few at the range, and they are really slick. No big cut out when the shot goes off and actually enhances hearing.

The tactical 6 model is on my wish list.

I use the Tac 6's sometimes. They work great and also keep your ears warm when it's cold out. If I'm on a stand for groundhogs, I'll keep a pair with me and don them before the shot if time allows. They are hot in the summer.
