Starting to see this in the milk isle. Tempted to buy, never really had it. Slightly revolted at the idea of milk punch, but also slightly tempted, I love milk....hmmm

I have tried many different kinds and found them all to be disgusting. Until this very last one...

I expect that the fact that it doesn't need to be refrigerated means that it really has nothing resembling egg nog in it.

I thought you said that was sauerkraut? :D

Love eggnog too (only around the holidays though).

Make your own, it's easy. Add liquor if you wish when you pour.

It is perhaps a little-known fact that nutmeg is an hallucinogen. If I remember correctly, the dosage is a teaspoon or tablespoon. Reportedly, the experience is so horrible that it is never repeated.

I was expecting a response from you that went more like this. DIY was a close second.

Alton Brown Aged Eggnog. Simple to make, no cooking required; the high liquor content preserves the eggs and milk. I have some saved over from last year that we will drink at the pre-Christmas Mix Party.

Love the stuff. The secret is to add it to your liquor and not the other way around.

I was once told by a chemist, who at one time manufactured recreational drugs, that nutmeg is an ingredient in ecstasy.

The Kroger near my house (1/4 mile away) carries Homestead Creamery dairy products.

Excellent milk. A little expensive, but on the other hand almost every other brand of milk started giving me ummm ... digestive issues, after I turned about 45. The Homestead Creamery milk does exactly the opposite. Probably due to the minimal pasteurization. Tastes wonderful and keeps my innards happy and well-tuned. I usually buy the red lid "whole homogenized milk" bottle, but occasionally I go for the gold lid "Whole Creamline" which tastes like farm milk.

Anyway, the point being ... Homestead Creamery makes the absolute best EggNog ever sold to mere mortals. It is amazing.
