Dang, opened the mail yesterday and there was a brand new Ed Brown Catalog, never opened.

Devoured it for hours, think I grew a hemorrhoid (another story), and stayed up late last night reading every word.

Now I got a hankering for a Kobra Carry, Executive Carry or Special Forces Carry. Any suggestions?

    I got mine yesterday too.

The Stainless Kobra Carry made me 'tingle'.

gonna have to start saving for it now.

Good old "Preparation H" works pretty good.....or if it's a bad one, and you can deal with the intial shock, maybe a good dose of Hoppes #9 on a 12 gauge bore brush will do the trick!:wow::supergrin:

I've been Jonesin' for a full sized Kobra with the GEN 3 black finish for the past couple months.

Bad thing is I have to waste bandwidth checking out the on-line version of the catalog. Wish I had a paper copy, as it just isn't the same for me looking at stuff on the computer. Besides...I too enjoy a good catalog in the "library". (read too long in there will give ya' can get 'roids!!)

I wish I owned all three so I could give you an educated opinion. I have the Executive Carry. I like it for the size. It is unbelievable to shoot, shoots lights out and just a thing of beauty and craftsmanship.

I've been thinking lately about sending it back to Ed Brown to maybe get some adjustable night sights put on it, but haven't decided whether the pros outweigh the cons yet.

I really like the blued Classic Custom and the blued Executive Target with adjustable night sights. Someday I will have to get one.

Was there any mention in the new catalog of the alloy-frame Ed mentioned in the interview with Mas Ayoob?

They're all the basically same gun with different metalwork and they're all great.

The only thing better than the Ed Brown catalog would be a "pin up" callendar from Chuck!

I sold my favorite Kimber (bobtailed Pro Carry HD), a Dan Wesson CBOB, and a couple other assorted guns to get the funds for my Ed Brown. Mine is the Kobra Carry with the Gen III coating on it:

I wondered when I did all that selling if it was really worth it, all for one gun. I have to say it absolutely was, the gun is a dream to shoot, carry, and handle. Art in action.

A quick story: I work with about 8 women who know nothing of guns. They see my various trades as the guns come through the office, and have some mild curiosity to see each one as they come through or leave. The day I got my Ed Brown in, they were all crowded around, looking at her and telling me "That's a really pretty gun!!" The quality is, IMHO, easy to see.
