I shot my woman down.........
Johnny Cash any questions?
Went right home and I went to bed. Stuck that lovin' 44 beneath my head.
A white guy singing about drugs and violence towards women? Say it ain't so! HH
I'd vote Cocaine Blues as one of the greatest songs ever written by an American. That it was recorded live, the most popular version anyway, in front of a bunch of felons makes it even better.
You might want to listen to the last two lines of the song.
No sir, not one...
That Juaquin Phoenix is a damn fine singer ain't he?
When I heard Phoenix was going to play Cash, I said no way it would work.
I was wrong. He did a damned fine job.
That's what they kept saying on the "Tupac" thread... HH
When I sing this on karaoke, I always start off with........
Anybody here ever thought about killin' your ol'lady or doing coke?....then this songs for you.
Between the rednecks and dopers, it always gets the crowd going.
Can you tell I like cash?
You have a point.

I've always enjoyed Little Sadie:
That is probably my favorite Johnny Cash song. What a legend.
I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die.
I don't like country western music, but I like Johnny Cash.
The man really had talent.
I like Johnny Cash's version much better.
I learned a lot from that, thanks.
