The owner is. Buy something from him.
here's a thought for a sticky... possibly a few well drafted letters and/or speeches that can be copied and pasted into online forms, or even printed and mailed. I'd be happy to proof and edit anything that we'd all like to keep for just such incidents where we feel it might be warranted to let our positions known.
Sounds like a winner to me. Feel free to use mine as a Guinea pig. Chop at will.
Sorry, to be a financial geek. Sears attempted to buy Kmart while Kmart was in bankruptcy. When Kmart exited bankruptcy, they bought Sears. The combined company is called Sears Holding, but Kmart is the owner.
The Sears employees are NOT happy either. Kmart is super cheap for the rank and file employee. They recently stripped them of healthcare benefits in exchange for a 2500.00 towards employees buying their own healthcare benefits.... just not enough on a retail salary.
Geek alert is over.
+1 Sounds like an excellent plan!
"I question things because I am human"
I DO NOT mind being shown the truth. Show me the proof and I'll ceases doing business with them on the spot. I was told Sears bought out K/Mart. The K/Mart logo was changed while Sears remanded Sears so I excepted it as truth. Doesn't make it fact. Show me facts Jack.
ok I will edit and modify so that it can be copied and pasted with some edit fields that can be changed to suit the type and style. Will get back with it soon... maybe while I have some time tomorrow at work.
Good deal. Either start a new thread and point me to it so I can sticky it, or I'll copy and past it with a redirect here.
Good letter, I like it. Hopefully they will consider your points.
Yes, sir!"Sears Holdings Corporation, currently a wholly owned subsidiary of Kmart Holding Corporation created to facilitate the merger between Kmart Holding Corporation and Sears, Roebuck and Co. will become the new holding company of Sears, Roebuck and Kmart following the merger." - http://www.searsholdings.com/pubrel/pressOne.jsp?id=2005-03-09-0003159470https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sears_Holdings_Corporation
"Show me" ?? You're not from Michigan, right?
Oh well there goes K/Mart and Sears. No, thank goodness I'm not from Michigan.
ok Jerry, the letter is posted in a new thread. I was going to multiple post but I thought that would be better left to you. I think it would be good in both "Gun Control Issues" and "Carry Issues" and anywhere else you might think would be good for folks to see.
I do the exact same, Movie houses, Whole Foods and everywhere else.....key word...CONCEALED
Go with it, Jerry. Always best to leave emotion out of the letter, and assert your beliefs to get your point across to them. I think I am inclined to send an email to them also to let them know that I don't appreciate their anti-2a stance, and would shop elsewhere myself.
Good letter, well done. As an aside, if you are concerned about the weight of your carry piece, just have them weigh it for you. You will be pleasantly surprised.
I believe that is a local policy as I know an employee for WFM in MI, and they see CCW and OC in their stores often and do not have a problem with it.
