I got it end of last yr and finally watched it tonight.

I am glad I didn't watch it in theater. There were a couple things that I had to back up the DVD to catch (at theater I would have wondered if I heard/saw what I thought I did) Not only that but some of the deleted scenes actually helped the movie make more sense. I.E. I wondered who the gal in FBI was that helped a new guy with secret info. In deleted scenes he was sent to her Office to get the "FNG forms" (he was new guy strait from training) So that explained how he "knew" this top lady/was comfortable asking her questions. She handled the "FNG" without making him feel stupid, let him know he could ask her anything (except for a date) That she had been there thru 4 directors and knew everything......

The shots were way beyond anything I could imagine being able to do. The actors didn't do bad on shooting/moving. (the dvd hinted at what training they got before shooting/moving/equipment. The one gal said she had never touched a gun before/shot some blanks and is looking forward to shooting a real gun with live ammo. :)

One deleted scene (that I am glad/sad) was buying the Rem 700s in 308.. It was clearly a "straw purchase". So for that I am glad they removed it from film. But with MINOR changes it would have added to story.
I had wondered. "Where did they get those two bolt action rifles with scopes?.. I thought he just had a .22lr rifle?" (which he made a 200yd kill shot FROM A ROW BOAT with a home made silencer on THREE mercs)
All in all not a bad $5 DVD that I will watch someday again.

It's based on a book called Point of Impact by Stephen Hunter. If you like reading at all you should check it out. The book is way better than the movie and makes even more sense. Top 5 book of all time for me.

Yes. Mr. Hunter is a NRA member, and was featured in the NRA monthly magazine back in January - that article was also a great read. After reading the article, I bought the movie (I had seen 60% of it on TV prior).

    Very good movie.

Unfortunately, I read the excellent book before I saw the movie, so I thought the movie kind of sucked...
