    Dad

tough old bird still barking orders

no college, bootstraps, never heard him complain about anything

took him ten years to work his way up from the stockroom to president of a bank

liked fast airplanes, dangerous hunts, and women

THE most honest man I've ever known.

    Happy Birthday, SIR!

Unfortunately, I don't think I am worthy enough to step up to this fine citizen and tell him ANYTHING :), except thank you, thank you, thank you.

What i'd give to have an hour long conversation with someone like your father. I'm definitely humbled when I speak to great men like that.

As a member of the 2nd Bomb Group, I have a list of current members. Was able to talk with the pilot who flew my Uncles plane in WWII. Also wrote many letters back and forth with the Togglier/Bombadier. Couldn't talk with him since he was deaf. Awesome stories from those men who were so young when they went to war and did such amazing things. Hats off to all of them.
