    What's the likelyhood of screwing it up? I keep hearing that if you don't prep the weapon right, the duracoat goes on crappy.

    Yes, you need to sandblast it and degrease it, but that isn't hard. I have gotten excellent first-time results with both duracoat and GunKote.
