Spoiler: it didn't go as well as the Defendant CA A.G. Xavier Becerra had hoped when he appealed the decision handed by Judge Benitez last year, striking down the CA large capacity ammo magazine ban.

While I certainly no fan of endless court battles...that is the only way to get anywhere with these pols...you Have to sue every time!...shouldn't be this way, but it is the new-normal...every petty pol and govt agent Must be Forced by a judge/jury to do the right thing...they seem incapable of making any decision or enacting any policies which might favor the folks they are supposed to serve w/o a judge ordering them...

Beccera is one of the most outrageously partisan polticians I can think of. When he was a US House Rep, EVERYTHING, absolutely EVERYTHING Obama did was perfect, couldn't be better. He was like a wind up toy spouting the socialist Obama line.

Then he went back to Wackiefornia to do the same there. Don

I just sent a text message to my friend and hunting buddy who is a lawyer with the law firm who filed this case.
Me: "I just watched the oral arguments, your colleague did a great job. What is your crystal ball saying?"
His reply, short and sweet: "We win"

This anti gun nonsense, especially in California, is blatantly unconstitutional.

    There's no way around it.

It seems the State conceded that more than 10 rounds can be necessary. The State just kept saying they can have as many 10 round magazines as they want.

That is, until the day in the near future the same State decides that owning only one 10 round magazine per gun should be more than enough for ammo to defend ourselves.

He's just doing his job he is getting paid for, nothing personal.
The fact that he is helping to destroy one of the most important civil rights enshrined in the US Constitution doesn't concern him.

Murphy did a very good job. The panel found her position more compelling.

Murphy, expound on the public burdens associated with:
    • scrambling and/or securely transporting 'ready-access' 10-rnd mags (cost of holders, must now grab two or more items, etc.
    • getting a click on #12 (10+1) causing an untimely/bumbled reload
    • the obvious math problem of 25% hit rate, 2.5 hits to stop = 10 rnds should be just enough if...
Who's far more proficient with reloads than the average joe? The below average criminal. Appreciably slow them with a mag change?:animlol:Appreciably slow the average good guy with a mag change? Oh yeah.

Latest data on the ratio of good to bad guys in CA says good guys by a nice margin. Are we getting closer to 'undue public burden'?

I'm very hopeful this ends in our favor. It can help put a stop to the crap the other left coast states are trying

Wake me up when they win this unconstitutional mag ban. Then we can try it in NY.
Oh wait... second thought, never mind... NY has been lost for to long.
The gun owning people already left NY long ago.

    :(

I wonder where we are supposed to carry 4 extra 10rd mags to end up with 51 defensive rd capacity for an EDC. My normal EDC has been a G45 with 2 extra 17rd mags in my front pocket for a total of 52. There isn't room for 4 10rd mags in that pocket.

More important is my home defense setup with the same G45 with a 33rd mag and rail mounted light. My briefs don't have pockets for extra mags.

I am so glad I fled Kalifornia in 2002.

Yes, but one of the points the State was trying to make was that requiring gun owners to "turn in, destroy or modify large capacity magazines without reimbursment" was not unconstitutional.
