Ahhh... this is the same type of thinking that has the guy in our warehouse spending 30 minutes putting on a gas mask and a space suit to do 5 minutes of spray painting.

I break his balls for it everytime too:

"Ground control to Major Tom..."

A backhoe in mid day?

Do they make you put a cork on the end of your fork so you don't poke your eye out at chow time?

He already shows them photos of his gun collection... He's spreading the image of Americans as gunslinging ornery cowboys across the world, and I appreciate it.

Mr. Chernovsky, (who fought in Afghanistan, back in the day) told me the other day, when he saw my AR's, that he prefers the AK over the M16.

I showed him a pic of my Saiga S-308, and told him that the AK is a fine weapon, but it's much better when it's chambered to fire a real rifle cartridge.
How is that Saiga working out for you anyway?

Nice potential for an inexpensive .308 platform there if it's accurate enough.

It's more accurate than I am, but even with the Williams peep sight, it's not nearly as easy to shoot as the AR, Garand, or FAL, which are also more accurate than I.

If they made a proper aperture that could somehow mount on the rear of the receiver without moving, I'd love it. As it stands, a scout optic might do the trick, but I don't like depending on glass or electronics for shooting.
Yeah, only have my hunting rifles have glass.

Now you reminded me that I need a Garand - the first one I ever handled/shot was like a laser beam at 100 yards with old military ball.
