    perhaps.

but the OP mentioned it, too; so...

btw....we tried Dukes a little while ago and it was fine, but wife still prefers Hellmans.

MIracle Whip isn't mayonnaise. Its got mayonnaise in it. But also lots of sugar.

Dukes is great, but it is not sold on the west coast and most online retailers are crazy expensive.

I ordered several bottles from Walmart and had it shipped to California, but last time I checked it looks like that is not an option any longer. I am on my last bottle. :-(

That's a bummer. I went the the website and found the Dukes Real Mayonnaise is available in all the Kroeger and PayLess stores around here. Maybe the WalMarts too. Can't recall for sure about Walmart and I can't get the Dukes locater page to load right now. I just bought a jar last night to try. Being there are so may people on this forum that rave about it, I have high hope that it is excellent.

    $3.19 here in WI.
BTW....I tried it a few days now and TO ME it tastes more like Hellmans. VERY mild.
    I still like Miracle Whip......

Round one to Hellman’s. Tried a small spoonful of each. Something odd about Duke’s flavor. Maybe I’m just used to Hellman’s. Round two to Hellman’s. It made a better ham sandwich. Round three, four and five TBD. Tuna fish sandwich, BLT and then a hamburger with Heinz ketchup. Time will tell but not looking good for Duke’s.

Bought a jar of Duke's after reading this thread. We still had a almost-new jar of Hellman's in the fridge, but cracked the Duke's open to try it. Son and I had a few sandwiches with it since.

    We are new converts.

Side-by-side opinion: Hellman's is more mild mayonnaise, whereas Duke's tastes more full-bodied. Duke's also has more of a "twang" (if that's even a word), if you know what I mean.

Yes that’s my experience also. Dukes is a bit more tangy. Like it.

Years ago I remember trying a version of Hellman's with added lime juice in it. While it was more tangy, it ended up just having a weird taste to it. While Duke's is more tangy, it's not the same as the Hellman's with more lime juice in it. Can't really explain, other than Duke's being more "flavorful".
