I'm racking my brain, I put a legal copy of XP on one of my computers that already had Win 2000. I now want to delete win 2000 off this computer. Is there a simple process that I'm missing, or do I need to re-format the whole dang drive ?

You will need to edit the c:\boot.ini file and remove the line for the win2k boot option, just make a backup copy ofthe boot.ini file incase you delete the wrong line. You can then format the old win2k partion or leave it intact as a secondary drive if you have data there you still need.

I am going to assume you loaded WinXp last so look at the boot.ini file there instead of the 2k one.
