I must say that I hate driving.

Wait -- "hate" doesn't quite describe it.

It would be better suited to say, "loathe".

But...all in all, it was worth the trip. I drove from the middle of SC down to Poulan, GA. It's about 120 miles due north of Talahassee. What a freakin' trip through bum-****-nowhere. I had NO IDEA Georgia was SOOO back-woods rural. :whistling:

From my "new toys and fuzzy feelings" thread, it's now parked in the drive. Great little scooter for the price! THANK YOU EBAY!!!

Shame you don't like to drive, I love to just get in and go with no destination...I usually end up states away.

    Congrats on the new acquisition

I love to drive, I just hate it that it takes me about 7-8 hours to get out of Florida.

What made it even worse is that I took my wife's little SUV so my Chevy wouldn't drink up the fuel. Know what I lost in that trade-off? My Sirius.

I would have hooked up the Droid w/ streaming Pandora to my wife's audio jack in her stereo -- IF SHE HAD ONE!!!

So, I had one CD in there, and suffered through endless country music songs.

At least the trip went off without a hitch. Literally.

Got down there with a 2" ball on my wife's SUV. Boat is 1 3/4". Went to AutoZone, no small balls. :whistling: Mine was rusted on, and I didn't have the key for the receiver pin lock. I SWORE I had the small ball on there... Anyway, we broke it loose, and by odd fate, he had a spare small ball. :faint:

    Could have been worse...

I used to drive Detroit to Miami twice a year non-stop (except for gas, food and restroom stops.) I used to love the drive. But then again that was 15 years ago. I fall asleep when driving anything further than 45 minutes now. lol

One day I hope to have as many cool toys as you Silver. Lol! We didn't get to use our one boat as much as we hoped last year, much less think about having two! (although I do understand your reasoning and need for two different types)

    Hope you enjoy it!

    "Scootin'" around on the water.

I'll "scoot" on this boat, cruise on the other. :embarassed:

looks like a useful new toy you've got there!

Personally, I love to drive. Recently drove 16.5 hours from FL to MO non-stop but for gas. Even brought my lunch to prevent stops.

628 miles? There are people that have to drive that and then some every day while driving 80 000 lbs vehicle. They are called truck drivers. For them it is just another day on the job.

I know a truck driver who went from Tonasket WA almost on Canadian border to Nogales AZ on the Mexican border pretty much non stop and it was just longer then average day to him.

    LOL, thanks...I think...

As stated in the other thread -- I told my wife this was her Valentine's Day present. :wow:

    She's excited.

It was advertised as a 14' boat, and got VERY FEW bids, and didn't go for much money. We got lucky on this 15'9" thing.

At $1,000.00 a day, I don't see myself ever doing such a thing.

I once made my Detroit to Miami run in under 19 hours. I had a brand new '92 Mustang 5.0 and averaged right around 90 MPH (if I remember correctly) all the way down. The posted speed limits were only 55 back then. Only got pulled over twice...both times in Georgia. (Had to pay the tickets on the spot.) Ahhh, the good old days.

My bladder shudders at the words 'non-stop'. When I drove to Atlanta last month I drank two Mickey D's large teas along the way and didn't pass a single rest area. I acted like I had some sense on the way back and made it from Charlotte to Charleston without having to stop, other than JR's, of course. Acid Blue Kuba.

At “$1,000.00 a day” people buy new boats rather then drive 628 miles to pick up cheap old used boat bought on E-bay.

Enthusiasts pick a destination and take a ride.
Bikers pick a direction and don't come back until they feel like it.
