Will dropping the gun from 2 feet high on a concrete floor affect it's accuracy? Will the sights be misaligned (fixed sights not adjustables)? Just curious ;a

Can you determine what part of the gun (grip, muzzle, sights, etc.)made initial contact with the concrete? ;P

If the sights did not hit the concrete first then you'll have a fairly good chance that accuracy of the gun wont be affected, unless its a revolver. Pistols can take a lot of beatings and still maintain decent accuracy. :)

If you dont know, the best way is look for a firing range and confirm. ;f

If slide lang (as in the slab side of the slide), I would not worry so much.:)

But then again, he can go to a firing range and try the gun to determine if the accuracy was affected.:)

My small, 90 pound female cousin, visiting from California, fired my 686Plus at the range and dropped it out of shock at the recoil.

I don't know who was more shocked - she from the recoil or me from her having dropped the 686+. It was just a .38 special reload that she fired, too.

Clearly just psychological as she then fired it OK.

It landed on the barrel. Well, doesn't seem to have been harmed.

Is it possible to DIY such a problem? What's the easiest way to determine that the sights have moved?

PMMA97 - Like what Django said, go to the range and try it. You need to have sight adjustment tool to put it back in place. I heard si mc_o may special tool. Or si Pio yata yon? Hammer and stud.;)

Had a case like that when my friend used his HK to whack somebody in the head.. sira ang sights.. I assume the impact is the same as dropping the gun from 2 feet di naman kasi malakas yung palo at di pumutok yung ulo.. Pinagawa niya sa squires

usp? Steel sights yan milled from barstock. dapat pumutok ang ulo ng perp before that will move.

When my trijicon arrived i had a hell of a time to remove the USP sights. talagang kailangan hatawin ng malakas for it to move a fraction of a cm.

Baka glock yan plastic sights. I dont think the hk sights can be broken by a head. I pounded and pounded on it with a hammer and punch and broke the punch and broke a screwdriver when i was removing it and it did not even dent a bit.
