I saw one today at the gun store. Before I start trying to figure out what I could sell to get it I thought I would ask about them here. This is the one labeled 8 times on the barrel also. Does anyone have one and what do you think of it? Accuracy and so on good with it?

This thing felt really good in my hand anyone have anything bad on them so I can resist it. Otherwise I might just have to get it.

An excellent gun. The N frame is my favorite from S&W. The accuracy from Performance Center guns is usually great. My buddy has a 627 and loves it.

i have a PC VComp. it's plenty nice and accurate. only fired mine maybe 500 times since i got it last november. not sure the comp does much for it. i'm a little disappointed in the trigger but will get it Carmonized and all will be good then.

I dig the more classic look of the 27. My local fun shop actually had one with an 8-shot cylinder from the Performance Center. Get the stainless if you like... N frames are great guns.

    It's pretty nice
Get one soon. N frames will stand up to a lifetime or two of hot 357 magnum, eight shots; besides the Hillary Hole what's not to like?

I will say that I picked up a N-frame model 29 at the store the other day, and the end shake was unbelievable! In full lockup, you'd swear someone had been shooting full house loads through it for years. I looked at the 57 next to it on the shelf, and it was perfect.

    Caveat Emptor.

They did chamber that in .38 super I believe as well as .357.
My Brother in law bought one in .357, and I am not at all impressed with it.
    I favor traditional 6 guns.

While I really like the idea of the 627, you are paying around $600 for two extra shots.

That being said it holds the same number of rounds as a 1911, with more powerful rounds, and with moon clips it is almost as fast to reload as a auto loader. Plus the tactical model has a rail. Very attractive, if I had all the other guns I wanted I would buy one.

Here is a review, it also covers accuracy. http://www.handgunsmag.com/featured_handguns/smith_0605/

Thanks for the input everyone. I think I am going to get one. I really liked the looks/feel of it. Heck, I even loaded up some ammo for it awhile ago. Tell me that isn't worse than a kid in a candy store.

I'd love to buy one too, but I just can't stomach the Safe T Hammer.
