I will be getting an ok tax return this year and have allready thought about getting a handgun with it. My thoughs drift often to the legendary G21 .45. And now I understand that I have an addiction to Glocks, does anyone have this problem and how do I fix it.:dunno:

I used to have that problem myself. I cured it by buying a 3rd gen G21. Then a 1911. And a Ruger. I recently acquired an XD. I like my 45s. Nothing says "leave me alone" like a 230gr slug.

I guess the way to fix my addiction is to let go right? I was in the 21 club pic thread and saw a Lone wolf slide the same length as a 34/35 and this fueled my adiction further. And yes ilgunguygt I love .45 so the 21 is perfect for me (addicted to glock and .45)

Nothing wrong with that. Many people feel that the 9mm is the perfect glock, but I sure like my g21.

I have two 9mm glocks and love them and today I felt the Gen 4, awesome, I hope they make a 21gen4 that would be great. I don't know why Glock made RTF for the .40 and 9mm but not the .45, and the interchangable grips would be a great feel for the double stack .45.

I've owned just about every Glock and I always come back to the G21. I've stated before the G19 might be the finest 9mm of all time. That said, the G21 might be the finest 45 of all time.

My next GLOCK will most likely be the 19, a great all around gun. My edc is the 23, and favorite to shoot is the 21. My previous edc, was a gen2 17. Also have a 30, that is nice, but if I could keep only one, the 21 hands down.

I'm just gonna come out with this, glocktalk members suck at helping with addictions. Now that I have that out of the way I can say goodbye to Dr. Phil and hello to Gaston Glock.

If I could get one as reliable as my glock for under 650 I might but such an item has not been made:tongueout:. Glock needs to make a single stack .45 acp longslide.

RIA tactial. less than 500 bucks. My RIA eats anything. XTPs, GDHPs, LRN, FMJ, and LSWCs without a hiccup. Dead reliable and solidly built. The Springfield GI meets your price also, and a good reliable pistol. The Para GI XPert also meets your criteria and is under that price. These are all guns that will be as reliable as a glock.

And do any of those carry 13+1? No. Glock rules! Not only feeding but functioning in bad conditions:mud, rain, blood, sweat, and tears. Would you put a 1911 against a glock in bad conditions?

I love my 21. I've put my beloved Springfield 1911 in semi-retirement after shooting my Glock 21. I never thought a plastic gun could shoot softer than an all steel gun, but it does. I carry my 21 and it is my primary IDPA gun. It is, hands down, my favorite gun to shoot.
