What music groups, what ever genre you prefer, were just totally awesome in their prime and are now down the terlit:headscratch: Journey and the Little River Band for me. Journey just isn't the same without Steve Perry and sucks really bad, and the Little River Band has had so many member changes they don't even sound like LRB anymore:sadangel:

Genesis without Phil Collins. They were out there where the buses don't run when Peter Gabriel was the leader. It was Phil that made them huge.

Sorry Mr Mayor, but I have to disagree with you as far a Journey goes. I saw them about 3 months ago and all I can say is WOW! They look older, and you don't see Steve Perry, but Oh My GOD! it sounds like Steve Perry is singing. That little Asian guy can wail. Very energetic, and a great show. Also on some of these show about great bands, Steve seems like a little beeotch.

Also saw Styx last year, great performance. The keyboardist sounds like Dennis.

    YMMV

Nah...there is no Journey without Steve Perry.

I'd have to say The Eagles have gone down the drain too...they could have done without releasing that last album.

    The Who.

The only things missing from the half-time show at the SuperBowl this year were the pallbearers.

They were ok, but I never liked The Who anyway so I got up and took a break and got me another beer during halftime. Aerosmith would have been a much better show.

I'd say Metallica, but they are coming back to their senses.

    Ozzy doing "Mississippi Queen"?

Yeah, that would suck no matter when it happened.

For me, I gotta say that I don't listen to music that I don't like. So if they went down the terlit, I probably don't know about it.

I actually thought Death Magnetic was an improvement over Load/Reload/St. Wanker, but it's still not as good as their first 5 albums.
