This friday ill be putting the 1911 through my PPC service match, 42 rounds at ranges from 12 feet to 50 feet. The first stage is 6 rounds in 10 seconds one handed at 4 yards. The second stage is 12 rounds in 20 seconds at 7 yards. The second target is first shot at 50 feet, 6 rounds in 12 seconds two handed. The last stage is 18 rounds in 90 seconds at 50 feet, kneeling with barricade and then right handed and left handed with barricade. The gun has had about 450 rounds through it as of now and i haven't had any trouble after the sear disconnector broke which DoubleStar replaced for me very quickly and paid for shipping on both ends. I have high expectations of this gun for this match as i plan on beating my score last year with the matchmaster which was a 389 20x, i am hoping to get about a 410 20+x. The doublestar is easily capable of making 1" groups at 50 feet so that should help. Ill post pics of my target and gun after the match friday. If you haven't ever shot ppc before its pretty fun and def. tests your skills in accuracy, trigger controls and holding your sight picture.
