Those backward gun totin' rednecks sure are easy to poke fun at! I think I'll ignore everything the President's doing!

Anyone else as irritated by this lazy writing as me? It just gets worse from here.

I haven't read Doonesbury in 20 years. Liberal trash.

Sometimes even if I disagree with a comic or person, I can appreciate wittiness. This has absolutely no wit at all.
It's completely dry and pointless, like someone telling a joke and forgetting the punch line.

I quit buying the local propaganda sheet some time ago, so I'm out of the loop.

The monopoly that the press and mainstream media has had on the distribution of information for a couple hundred years is evaporating. The papers and MSM have, and will become less and less of a factor as time goes on. Through the internet, talk radio and such, I see the MSM as slowly slipping further and further into irrelevance. And I LIKE it!

This is one more reason why printed newspapers are a dying breed.

I haven't read Doonesbury in 20 years, more than a little surprised it's still being published. Snarky, bemused intellectuals moaning about how stupid everyone else is. Groundbreaking.

I never got the point of why it was a comic to start with.......... no one finds hippies funny.

You don't find pot smoking self righteous liberal do gooders hysterical? They like to smirk when you make a point of showing how stupid their opinions are.

    Beautifully said.
There is nothing worse than an arrogant leftist like Trudeau looking down his nose at the stupid people in Flyover Country.
He used to at least be able to poke fun at both sides, but when that disappeared and he began marching in lockstep with liberal doctrine, I quit reading his stupid strip. And that was a long time ago.

OK, I chuckled a bit at the second one. Because we all know "that guy." LOL

Mr. Pauley sucks ***. (He still is married to Jane, right?)

If you don't see that he's making fun of all the patrons of starbucks, and their management, as evenhandedly as is possible.. you missed the point. He's dissing the gun owners who made an issue of it, the starchy starbucks patrons who protest it, and the profit seeking capitalist management who came down on the side of their gun owning customers. I won't claim it's funny, humor is as humor does, and if you ain't laughin' it ain't funny.

But he didn't leave anyone OUT of his cartoon.

Didn't read the whole series, but I don't see him making much fun of the snarky libs.

Over the years, he's run hot and cold. Though he leans left, I HAVE seen him give it to both sides.

With Doons, you must sometimes wait up to a week or more for the punch-line....it made me snicker today.....the pay-off was kind of funny..

It pissed me off most of the week, though, what a bunch of satire...uh...wait...that's the point, right ? ? Satire ? ?

Gary loves to get people shook up, it seems to have worked again, got 'em, and me, riled....

He's Canadian, for Gods' sake, hell, they can barely read......

I love that he isn't American, but does so much U.S. critiquing ....go home Gary.

    I am Out ......

Been reading it since the 70's. He gives it to both sides. It's just humor. It won't kill us or our beliefs. :wavey:

Yes, I have seen it from time to time and have never found any humor in it, just smug libtard bs.
Aside from loads of the liberal strain of smugness of piety I have never discerned any point to that POS comic(?) strip. Trudeau's wife Jane Pauley is about as even handed as he is.
