Went to a gun show and fondled Glocks. I don't like the feel of the Gen4 "bumps".
How long do I have to buy a new Gen3?
I'm thinking about getting a 21SF. All I have now is my CCW: G27.

Plenty of time, since you can still buy Gen1's

heck, Glock probably won't release all models in Gen 4 for a long time. Only the 22 and 17 have it now and the compacts won't get the treatment until the Summer... There are tons of Gen 3s out there. It will be some years before the Gen 3s even get close to hard to find.

Since I have had problems with Gen 3 models G22 and G23 I would wait for Gen 4. Now with G19 and G17 I would not have any problems with purchasing a Gen 3 glock.

In fact in case of the 9mm glocks I might want a Gen 3 gun. They are proven models. It is possible the Gen 4 dual recoil spring will make the 9mm glock less reliable. Yes this is pure speculation on my part and the dual spring may work fine just like it does in G26.

But I reread and see your question is about G21 and I don't have any experience with that model.
