Has given me pretty bad stomach aches the last two times I had it. I never had any issues with their old pizza. Has this happened to anyone else?
Never had it. A friend said it sucks. I love the pacific veggie add saugage in their defence. Though ive not had it on the new crust.
Our whole family prefers the 'old' vs 'new & improved' Dominos. 'New & improved' doesn't necessarily mean 'better'. And yes, the 'new' doesn't sit well on the stomach. PappaJohn's is looking better and better.
I am spoiled Because there is no such thing as fast food pizza where I live. Italian pizza restaurants are on every major road up here and they serve up real good pizza. Not chain type food. But when I lived in Va. it was Dominoes when we were to hammered to drive. Oh well!
Dominos... stomach aches... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/14/dominos-workers-disgustin_n_186908.html
The new pizza is a million times better than the old. Never has given me any kind of stomach aches. Have you tried a different Domino's?
Haven't tried the new version yet, but will give it a chance. They don't deliver where I live, but only one place will and their pizza isn't good, but they've been in business for years because they are the only ones that will deliver in my area.
I'm all about Pizza Hut's $10 for any size, any toppings pizza right now. Got a large with 5 toppings for $10, and $1 added for stuffed crust, the other night. Can't beat that. But, I will give the new Dominos a try some day.
I am a Little Caesars guy myself. I don't know what kind of cheese they use but their pizzas just seem to taste very cheesy to me. I like that. Plus 5$ cant be beat.
I liked it the old style better. They saturate the crust in garlic. The commercial shows them putting a light coat on the crust, but all of my pizzas it almost soaked through the box. I'm not a garlic fan and they just put way too much on. The sauce tastes the same to me. So, it's just the crust that kills the whole pizza to me.
I liked the old stuff better. Why not ADD spicy crust as an option rather than alienating the customer base they had? ARS
I used to like Domino's when they first came on the scene about 25 years ago. Now the pizza just seems too soft and flavorless to me. I would like to know what changed from when they first came about to now. I haven't had the new one yet but will try it.
I really like their old Pizza....when I was in school they had this thing called the "Racer Special" cause the mascot was "The Racers", 5.99 for a large 1 topping pizza anytime, 5.00 for plain cheese on Tuesdays. Needless to say, did my share to keep them in business.
Good thing I can go to a local mom and pop Italian place for some real pizza. Domino's went in the tank years ago.
I actually prefer the old style. Yes they were from different stores in different states with the same result each time. I used to eat equal or greater quantities of the old style with no problem.
I really like it over the "old" pizza, BUT think it should be offered as a completely seperate pizza to stay loyal to their customer fan base. What if you DON'T like garlic on your crust, a hint of red peppers in your sauce, or provolone in your cheese? Good pizza, bad business choice IMO. Does anyone remember the italian herb crust they had years ago? That was good, and was an optional crust, not a replacement.
