Does anyone here give a name to their gun(s)? I decided to name my G17 Edith (all in the family fan). Does anyone else do this?

All my guns have names, but they are the names the gun manufacturers gave them. My car is named Matilda though, because she is a strong, German girl.

No. No names for guns, and no names for body parts either.


For several years I even had a dog with no name. We just called him "the dog", and he answered to "dog" because he was one - not because it was his name. We were vary careful in all our conversations never to use the word dog as if it was a name whenever mentioning "the dog" to each other.

Nope, but I feel like I have a connection with my Glock moreso than a paperclip or a calculator if that's what you're asking. I trust it with my life and I know it'll perform when I need it to.

I dont know about date because I am 25 but I am sure not everyone in my generation would get the reference.

Most of the cars that I've owned, yes, but only 1 firearm in the entire collection has a name.
G20 #1 is refered to as "KONG"
1st Glock, 1st 10MM.
All the others are merely tools. Even those that I've owned for over 50 years.

I normally just "name" them by the Make & Model. Never really got into the naming of guns or cars for that matter.

Maybe if I got a FA. I would still keep it to myself though.
