Do you use a heavier recoil spring on a G33?

I just got a Gen4 G27 and ordered a G33 barrel for it. I already have a Wolf guide assembly with 16#, 18#, and 20# springs, and I was wondering if you guys could recommend a spring weight for Gold Dot 54234 at 1375 fps, or should I just leave the stock spring/assembly in? Also, do you recommend using 357 Sig mags for carry?

I believe the recoil springs in the 27 and 33 are the same rate. Some will use the 40 magazines for the SIG round and vise a verse, but there is a slight difference. I would at least get the magazines, if not for that issue then for quick identification of the magazines. Speer GDHP 125gr is the most common that I have seen for carry.
Stock springs should work fine. Personally, I'd get G33 mags for carry - although the G27 mags should work, the followers are different.

what he said.
I also just installed the G33 into my G27 and shot it today. Wow was that fun. I just don’t understand how a G26 could have the same recoil spring as a G33 shooting Underwood ammo. It functioned fine but I would like to know the spring weight is protecting myself and my firearm.
I ordered the wolf guide rod set with 16 lbs spring set. Any body used these? What do you think?
