Do you think we'll ever see a small Glock 9mm?

I'd love for Glock to produce a small 9mm. The G42 should have been a 9mm. Sig, Springfield and others have a small 9mm.

Did you somehow miss the release of the 43?

I think they discontinued the promo pack. I was able to get one, and it is on my keychain.

A 6.3" length gun isn't small when you compare it to say a Sig P365 at 5.7" or a Kahr PM9 at 5.5". Add in the 10+1 of the P365 too. Even the 42 is bigger than the P365.

No, this is an opinion, "A 6.3" length gun isn't small when you compare it to say a Sig P365 at 5.7".

One that I don't agree with but you do you.

Small sigs all metal and twice as heavy as G43 works in my gym shorts . Not a mooney lover.

A P365 is polymer frame. The G43 actually weighs a bit more.

I think he means in similar size and capacity as the 365 and Hellcat. The G43 is quite a bit larger, and holds a lot less ammo.

Do I think Glock will? Eventually. They will have to if they want to address this popular segment of the market. Like the G42 and G43, it may be five or more years late to market, but they will come up with something. When they do, I will be very interested in trying it out. But Glock is slow. Things like removable back straps, compact carry guns, and frame ergonomics seem to elude for a bit longer than their peers. They make great guns, but they are stunningly slow to respond to the marketplace. I predict 2021 launch. I've been wrong before... but historically:

    S&W Bodyguard, 2011 (Glock G42 response 2014), 3 years later
    S&W M&P Shield 9mm, 2012, (Glock G43 response 2015), 3 years later

Three year lag time to market. SIG 365, 2018 (Glock GXX response 2021), three years later.

The 938 is metal. The 365 is polymer, just like a Glock. It is lighter if loaded to the same magazine capacity (if you add the extra four bullets it can handle, it weighs more).

I asked a question and get slack. Go figure.. Thanks so much for the reply. I hope your right because i'd love a smaller Glock 9mm which would sell like crazy.

I think Glock has always focused on shootability over all else. That is why they took forever to get to the 43, and then, IMO, walked back from the 43 to get to the 43x and even the 48. They philosophically like shootable pistols.

The Khar PM9, like the KelTec PF9, feels like getting your palm slapped with a ruler at each shot. The 43 is, IMO, not hugely better, but it does go from "a few mags per range trip" with the micro-9s to a comfortable 75-100 rounds. I ran 250 rounds through my 48 the first time out, and I don't imagine the 43x is much different in its shootability.

I havent shot a P365, but I would be surprised if it feels any better than the 43.

I've never understood why people go onto a Glock forum and sing praises for their Sig (HK, Hellcat or whatever). I don't go back onto the Toyota Tacoma site and bash their crappy 2018 models with praises for my Nissan.
A Glock 43 is about as small as a Glock 9mm needs to go.

I'd say one is clearly smaller. And with a six round flush mag vs a 10 round flush mag, the smaller one holds a lot more rounds.

By my definition of "smaller" (a decrease in physical dimensions) this qualifies as "smaller" for me. The length of the slide, the space occupied by the trigger guard, the heel. All larger on the G43.

I would LOVE for Glock to have an answer to address the segment that the Hellcat and 365 occupy. Anxiously waiting...
